The fault

The customer called with a Honda GX diesel pressure washer that had no pressure.

Diagnosis

The inlet and outlet pump valves were clogged, restricting water flow through the pump.

Work completed

• Pump inlet and outlet valves removed
• Valves cleaned thoroughly and refitted
• Pressure restored and machine retested
• A second fault was then identified: water flow would not stop when the trigger was released
• Trigger gun replaced
• Machine fully tested

Result

The machine was returned to normal pressure and working correctly. An inline water filter was recommended to help stop dirt and debris reaching the pump valves again.
